CDAF Director Adriaens will participate in a workshop on Developments in Innovative Infrastructure Delivery and a roundtable on “Rebuilding Ukraine” at the Cornell Program in Infrastructure Policy

CDAF Director Adriaens will participate in a workshop on Developments in Innovative Infrastructure Delivery and a roundtable on ‘Rebuilding Ukraine’ at the Cornell Program in Infrastructure Policy on June 7-8 in Ithaca, NY.  The workshop will host senior directors at management consultancies, program managers at multi-lateral agencies such as the International Monetary Fund, and academics.

The CDAF collaborated with the Ross School of Business Multidisciplinary Action Program and Triangle Digital on a Project titled, “Incentivizing Sustainable Agriculture Through the Capital Markets”

The CDAF collaborated with the Ross School of Business Multidisciplinary Action Program and Triangle Digital (formerly: Blockchain Triangle) on a Project titled, “Incentivizing Sustainable Agriculture Through the Capital Markets” (attached).  The project focuses on  the design of financial products which can incentivize farmers to uptake sustainability practices that will positively impact natural resource concerns within the Great Lakes region.  As part of the project, the team participated in a digital assets conference in Bermuda.

The CDAF partners with VTT (Finland) on a new project titled “A New Data Market Concept to Accelerate Green Transition of Cities”

The Center for Digital Asset Finance is excited to partner with VTT (Finland) on a new project titled “A New Data Market Concept to Accelerate Green Transition of Cities”, focused on the development of a data market for sustainable cities and projects.  Data is projected to play a major role in the future of infrastructure funding and financing.  With sustainable, resilient and smart cities being central to mitigating climate change and financial risks, the buildout of a digital ecosystem of producers and consumers is key.

CDAF Director Adriaens led a panel on Funding and Financing of Transportation and Mobility Infrastructure at the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) Global Symposium in Ann Arbor.

The Center for Digital Asset Finance Was Awarded Two Research Grants ($1.2M)

The Center was awarded two research grants ($1.2M) from the Great lakes Protection Fund and theFoundation for Food and Agriculture Research to study ‘Sustainability-Linked Financing Mechanisms for Agriculture in the Great Lakes Region’, in collaboration with the Ross School of Business, LimnoTech, the Croatan Instituteand Blockchain Triangle.

The team, consisting of Jon AllanRavi AnupindiDavid LeZaksJohn Bratton, and Darren Wolfberg will work with institutional investors, the farm credit financing system, and commodity supply chain partners to build and test a blockchain based TCFD-compliant financing model with derivative capacity to reduce fertilizer emissions in the Great Lakes.  For more information, please see brief.
